    Forbes: The Business Of Hockey

Post by shabbs on Fri Oct 31, 2008 11:25 am

Forbes has released their ranking of the 30 NHL teams' values.

Not surprising, the Leafs are at the top. Here are how the 6 Canadian teams fared overall:

    Toronto: #1
    Montreal: #3
    Vancouver: #8
    Ottawa: #13
    Calgary: #14
    Edmonton: #20

Naturally, the soaring Canadian dollar has helped the Canadian clubs be more profitable.

The Islanders and Coyotes are at the bottom. The Coyotes' franchise, from a business perspective, had been described as a train wreck. They'll be looking at relocation if they continue to struggle both on the ice and on the ledger.

I think I just misunderstood the intention of each forum. It's all good. This belongs here.

There definitely should be stuff posted all over the place. The Lounge was meant to be a one stop shop. Kinda like your morning Timmies :D
