Their offense hasn't changed that much - and this was an offense that pounded pucks into the net last year (almost 3 goals per game average). They have Richards, Morrow, a rejuvenated Ribeiro, Lehtinen, Eriksson, Avery, Lundqvist, Modano...you'll have some issues outscoring this bunch. Not to mention that they have the highly touted rookie prospect Brunnstrom who they sign over 20 other teams.
There's a chance at some point this year that the Dallas Stars make a similar move as last year, bringing in another high caliber winger at the deadline to try to put them over the top. But, if they don't, they should be just fine. I'd like to see another year of them scoring 2.9 goals a game before I make a final judgement, but it looks real good.
On defense, it's the same old story. Zubov, Robidas, Boucher and Daley make up a great top 4. Zubov is still one of the best D-men in the league, despite his injuries. Robidas is one touch customer - and Boucher when healthy can put up a plethora of points.
Marty Turco has now proved himself as an elite goaltender who is able to carry a team on his shoulders. Now the Stars need to pay him back with a little playoff magic.
Team Grade: A
Prediciton: 4th in the West (up from my previous 5th).
