Kessel Tor 10 goals
Sedin Van 14 goals
Backstrom 8 goals

Average 7.4 goals

Two things I noticed: Centers this year are overall doing horrible.

Spezza, although awful, is in good company...

And please, I know some players have played more or less games, or get paid more or less money, its simply a comparisson of the top paid centres for each team.

Can we trade Spezza for Andy Mac? Is that possible?

What about assists? That's the real sore spot I have with Spezza who is supposed to be an elite playmaker.

Someone else can add that, but I wanted to look at "scoring" and was honestly quite surprised at how badly most centres are doing in the goal department.

According to NHL.com Spezza is 57th in the league in assists-but I'm not sure in comparisson to just centres.

Spezza's closest company:

Spezza 27 GP 3 goals 17 points
Drury---24 GP 2 goals 9 points
Staal---19 GP 3 goals 13 points
Antropov 27 GP 2 goals 23 points
Gomez---27 GP 4 goals 15 points

That's a lot of expensive underachieving.

Also, I highly doubt you watch any games involving 90% of those centers unless they are playing The Sens. So saying that center's arnt having good season without actually knowing is stupid aside from the actual concept itself.

Seriously, I said this in the summer, you shouldt be aloud to post.

Staal has a stanley cup and constantly shows up when it matters for his team. Staal, point wise or not, is not even close to as over paid as those guys, he's alos the youngest.

I would trade our problem for that "problem" too.

It's still underachieving and it's still expensive. I'm sure Staal would tell you he's underachieving himself.

Absolutely, but not an awful lot around him, less then Spezza for sure.

Point being is Staal is an elite player in the league.

Seriously pal, why do you think you are some hockey wizard or what you "believe" is anything other than what you believe.

Your arguments are always one dimensional for instance saying you can't look at Spezza's past, only how he is playing now-and then saying Stall has a Stanley Cup (in his past) is about as absurd as it gets.

As far as you saying I shouldn't be aloud to post-really dude, grow up, if you need a time out or a nap we will all wait....

You post everything in The Sens thread so people will actually read it o at least click on it. If you were posting about the church, it would be right above the game day thread.

All you do is post stats about players and the base everything on that. I would be willing to bet the ONLY time you have seen a Getzlaf, McDonald, Sedin play is either on HNIC or against The Sens. I watch pretty much everything, every night. If you want to get into the people I know, well, Ive proven it here with others who I know, so, I have a ton of credibility in that aspect.

Seriously though, nothing personal, but what you know about hockey and what you think about the game is comparable to a 8 year old kid with a Spezza poster on his wall.

So? What's your point here? Staal is a way better player then Spezza, has larger career highs, a stanley cup, is far more complete, and is actually a leader in a lot od aspects.

Get a clue buddy.
