Ian White has agreed to a deal minutes before his hearing to a weird one year 2.999995 M contract.

Laugh1 They must have refused to pay him $3M.

According to Capgeek, this puts the Flames over the cap by $2.35M with a 23-man roster.

Also, the Bruins are over by >$2.1M pending on the Wheeler signing.

Not a problem, if you have the time, you might want to add to the list the top RFAs from each team too Smile

interesting...that puts them over the cap, no? I think Marco Sturm will start the year on LTIR, so that'll give them a little bit of time to address the CAP issue, but before he comes back, they'll have to give someone away....

Yep, the Bruins are over the cap by more than $2.1M. Calgary are also over the cap by nearly $2.35M with White's contract.

I think Calgary is still counting Kotalik against the cap, so they'll be fine once he's waived

Yeah, you could ice an all RFA team and it would be pretty competitive.

Once again, waiving a guy doesn't take him off the team's cap. If he's not bought out or demoted to a minor-league affiliate, his cap hit counts. Waiving a guy means nothing if there's no subsequent action.
