This is a few days old, but funny. DGB's NHLCHristmas Pageant:
http://www.downgoesbrown.com/2010/12/behind-scenes-at-nhls-christmas-pageant.html

Bettman: Good idea. OK, has anyone seen Tiny Tim? Adorable little guy, looks so grownup in his big boy suit and his scrunched up angry wittle face…. Oh, there he is!

Cory Clouston: This is degrading and I'm not doing it.

Bettman: Oh, you're doing it, junior. Now you're supposed to be disabled. Do you know where we could get some crutches?

Clouston:
I'll go ask Pascal Leclaire, he carries a few spares with him at all times.

Another funny quote from DGB:

Daly: Well, Pascal Leclaire just wandered by the decorative candles and caught himself on fire. Pierre McGuire is refusing to perform his Silent Night solo because he doesn't understand what the word "silent" means. And Bruce Boudreau just taught the little children an alternate version of Rudolph where all the reindeer are from Nantucket.

Saw that as it happened and the broadcast couldn't show enough replays of it. They must have showed it 10 times but I wanted more.

The Blues have just signed Marek Svatos, but he has to clear waivers.

Darryl Sutter steps down, Jay Feaster takes the job.

In order words, he stepped aside before he was pushed aside. Feaster is an excellent GM, and I suspect that the rebuilding will start quickly here in Calgary.

Feaster is just there on an interim basis.

Apparently it's been 8 years exactly since he (Sutter) started the job.

He was a good coach, though.

It is going to be tough to move some of those contracts.

Apparently Ken King asked Sutter to step down.

For what feels like the 20th time this year; what took so long!?

True... true.

I don't expect much to happen with them to be honest. Most the wanted players come with contracts that don't expire after this season (which is a plus to other GM's) or have NMC/NTC/LNTC's attached to them.

Feaster is handcuffed from every angle.

Montreal just acquired Wisniewski for a 2011 2nd and a 2012 5th. Solid move for them.

Yup, probably the kind of guy needed in Ottawa right now, isn't he?

Mind you, I don't want any trades unless Ottawa is selling.

you're right, that's a pretty solid move. More defensive depth, leading d-man scorer for the isles, very good move all around.
