It was 2007, Briere tied it with 6 seconds to go, and "Uh-oh" Corvo won it in double OT.
So there were some differences after all. One thing I don't expect -- in that G3 in 2007 Buffalo only put up 15 shots on Emery as Ottawa won 1-0 to take a stranglehold on the series. This time around, while I fully expect both goalies to bring their A-game, I couldn't imagine the rest of the Rangers team to roll over and play dead. We may well need Andy to steal one to come out up 3-0. This is a must win for New York and they know it.
On the injury front MacArthur said it was a pinched nerve that sidelined him midway through G2 and he's ready to go. Pyatt is also good to go after missing the last six games. Even though they won, I would not be surprised if Boucher changes things up and reinserts Pyatt. Thing is, who do you take out? Boro skated yesterday but did not practice with the team. He's not ready yet.
The Rangers don't appear to have any injuries, but we know some are playing hurt. Just need to keep hitting them, or stepping out of the way when they try to hit us. Injuries will come, sooner or later.
Go Sens Go!!!
