Except everyone's going to be super-rusty. Most of the players aren't even really skating right now because all the rinks are closed. They'll definitely run some sort of mini-training camp, but it won't be enough.

Naw I think everyone is in the same boat right now. Maybe they have 3-4 reg season tune-up games and then straight to the playoffs.

Aspirot signs a 3 year ELC with the sens. I guess he went from being an AHL prospect to an NHL one.

if there were any doubts about Anderson that should solve them
Daccord and Gustafsson in Belleville and mandolese in the ECHL.
I imagine we won't be seeing Sogaard out here this year.

I had to check and see when this new President and CEO of ours was with the Coyotes. I was hoping it was during the time the NHL owned the team as to me, that would mean the NHL is now watching the Sens and Melnyk closely. No such luck. Just after. Damn.

Edit: Apparently he does work closely with the NHL and league offices. The end is hopefully near for Melnyk.

So... what’s everyone’s bet on how long he last? I will go with 20 weeks.

I would guess if I cared. That’s a good indication of how long I think he will last. The shorter the better.

It's official. Sens signed Zub officially per TSN

I thought this guy was supposed to be more a defensive defenceman. He had 13 goals in the KHL in 57 games. Isn’t that a lot for a low scoring league? And for a defensive Dman?

I’m even more intrigued now.

Pretty decent writeup here:
https://www.silversevensens.com/2020/5/4/21245598/introducing-artyom-zub-his-career-setting-expectations-and-the-fit-with-ottawa-senators

His 13 goals last season appears to be a bit of an anomaly or a result of moving to a highly skilled team; won't be the same in Ottawa, so expect him to be more of a defensive defenseman, PK specialist.

But then Lajoie lit it up at first, so who knows.
